Bataan Reports 100 New COVID-19 Recoveries

A senior citizen was the 36th fatality from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the province, while 12 other elderlies were among the 100 new recoveries from the dreaded disease that made its number shoot to 1,478.

Governor Albert Garcia announced on Sunday the new death was a 68-year-old woman from Mariveles.

Those who newly-recovered are 68 from Mariveles, 21 from Limay, four each from Balanga City and Abucay, two from Pilar and one from Orion.

Included in the new recoveries are 67-year-old, 63-year-old, 62-year-old and 60-year-old females and 73-year-old male from Mariveles, 75-year-old and 70 year old, both males from Abucay; 60-year-old and 66-year-old males and 60-year-old female from Limay, 65-year-old female from Balanga City, and 73-year-old female from Orion.

Meanwhile, there was a drop in the number of new confirmed cases based on the latest report from the Provincial Health Office.

There were 28 new patients that caused the number of those who were tested positive of the virus rise to 2,197, of which 683 are active cases.

The new Covid-19 cases included 10 from Orion, seven from Mariveles, four from Balanga City, three from Limay, two from Morong, and one each from Abucay and Orani.

Those found positive of the virus were five children — one-month-old boy, one year old and eight-year old, both girls from Orion; one-year-old girl from Mariveles and six-year-old boy from this city. (PNA)
