The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday reported 1,150 additional coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases, raising the overall tally to 31,825.

The total number of new Covid-19 infections is the highest increase in the country so far.

In a text message, the DOH told reporters that its “epidemiology bureau is now in the process of analyzing all the available data and information”.

The DOH case bulletin showed that 361 of the new cases are “late” or results belatedly reported and were only verified recently, while 789 are “fresh cases” or results released to the patient within the past three days.

Of the fresh cases, 207 are from the National Capital Region (NCR), 288 from Region 7 (Central Visayas), and the remaining 294 from other regions.

Meanwhile, 110 of the late cases are from NCR, 32 from Central Visayas, and the remaining 219 from other regions.

The DOH also reported 299 new recoveries and nine new deaths.
