Boholanos and tourists will soon experience a dazzling lights show akin to the Festival of Lights in Ayala Triangle, Makati City.
The City of Tagbilaran will launch its month-long lights and sounds show at the Tagbilaran City Hall Grounds on December 6, 5:00 P.M. The event, dubbed as “BRB” or Be Ridiculous Bohol, will coincide with the city’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting tradition which signifies faith, hope, and unity of the Boholano community after the 2013 earthquake.
The lights show will be the first of its kind for the province of Bohol. Unlike the municipality of Loon’s Sidlakasilak, which is a parade of lights and street performances, Tagbilaran’s spectacle will be a full 30-minute 3D lights dancing to different Christmas songs. Tourists can enjoy it from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. Mondays to Fridays and until 11 P.M. on weekends. It will run until January 6, 2020.
Filipino pop rock band Orange and Lemons will also perform during the event, together with local talents Loon Sidlak Kasilak Performers, Vanguardians Dance Company, and Flow Extreme Group.
Tagbilaran Mayor John Geesnel “Baba” Yap shared his excitement for the upcoming festivities. “I believe the lights show will help in promoting our place. It will attract people from all walks of life to come and experience what it is like to be in Tagbilaran,” he enthused.
The lights and sounds show is in partnership with TaskUs, the world’s leading provider of innovative solutions and customer support for rapidly-growing tech companies. TaskUs goes to where the talent is, and Bohol’s promising pool makes it the ideal place for the company to make its mark in Visayas. The event also serves as a kickoff to launch its newest site in Tagbilaran.
Known for its colorful and collaborative offices, TaskUs fosters a people-first culture where employees enjoy work-life balance and added perks. Teammates have 24/7 access to fully-equipped gyms and recreational areas where they can play video games, billiards, table tennis, and more. Parents can also bring their children as daycare centers are available.
Teammates also enjoy subsidized meals in exchange for a minimum donation of PHP5.00 that goes to chosen charities. There are resident counselors, life coaches, and psychologists in every site to ensure that employees’ mental and emotional health is maintained.
As an equal opportunity employer, TaskUs veers away from labels and looks past a person’s gender, religion, age, and physical capacity. All of its Philippine offices also have all-gender restrooms and it is one of the first few companies to include same-sex partners as health care dependents.
While other companies only look at performance for appraisals, TaskUs factors in teammates’ passions and purpose. Top performers are also treated to incentive trips and teammates enjoy Happy Hours, events, and concerts on site.
TaskUs is ready to rock Central Visayas and give Bohol a taste of its ridiculously good culture. Are you ready to experience Us?
