3. Haliya
The archenemy of Bakunawa, Haliya is one of the moons that survived Bakunawa’s moon-devouring along with Mayari and Bulan. Said to be because out of sorrow (or loveliness), she is known to wear a golden mask.
Either way, she sounds absolutely worthy of having her own modern fantasy tv show.
In Philippine mythology, Haliya the masked goddess, Mayari the one-eyed Goddess of beauty and war, and Bulan the lover of the death god Sidapa were the three surviving moons, after Bakunawa the monstrous sea serpent devoured the rest of their siblings. pic.twitter.com/jKlAnjcetc
