Arguably the most known representative in favor of the franchise renewal. Vilma Santos-Recto carries a long and accomplished career in show business before her foray into politics. She served as Governor of Batangas and Mayor of Lipa before being elected as a representative of Batangas. She principal authored a bill that advocated a PHP10,000 increase to the salary of public elementary and public secondary school teachers.
