The Department of Health (DOH) reported that 171 individuals recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Tuesday, bringing the country’s total recoveries to 546,078 or 90.9 percent of all infections.

In its daily Covid-19 bulletin, the DOH reported 2,668 new infections, with active cases now at 41,822 or seven percent of the country’s 600,428 total infections since last year.

Of the active cases, it said most are experiencing mild symptoms at 91.6 percent, followed by the asymptomatic at 3.9 percent, those with severe symptoms at 1.9 percent, those in critical condition at 1.8 percent, and those with moderate symptoms at 0.80 percent.

Seven individuals have died from Covid-19, with the country’s death toll now at 12,528, or 2.09 percent of all infections.

Out of the 19,500 Covid-19 tests administered on Monday, 1,594 or 8.1 percent came back positive for the disease.

To date, many of the country’s health facilities remain available, with 57 percent of 1,900 intensive care unit beds available for use, 64 percent of 13,500 isolation beds, 73 percent of 6,000 ward beds, and 76 percent of 2,000 ventilators not in use. (PNA)
