Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) waiting for their flights now have a comfortable place of their own inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

On Friday, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) formally opened the OFW Lounge at NAIA Terminal 3 near Gate 7, designed to give comfort to the country’s modern-day heroes awaiting their flights.

The lounge can accommodate about 200 passengers.

“Ang OFW Lounge sa Terminal 3 ay kumpleto sa mga pasilidad tulad ng charging stations, libreng pagkain at mga resting area para sa mas komportableng paghihintay ng ating mga OFW bago ang kanilang mga (The OFW Lounge at Terminal 3 is complete with facilities such as charging stations, free food and resting areas for our OFWs to wait more comfortably before their) flights,” OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio said in a news release.

The first OFW Lounge at Terminal 1 in Parañaque City opened in January.

More OFW lounges would also be put up in international airports in Clark, Pampanga, Mactan-Cebu and Davao. (PNA)
