Following the success of the semi-autobiographical Never Have I Ever, Mindy Kaling announced that she will be joining “Legally Blonde 3” team!
The “The Office” writer confirmed the news via Twitter on Tuesday.

She will also be joined by “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” executive producer Dan Goor so best believe that this will be a wild ride!
“Finally some use for my Elle Woods fan fiction!”, Kaling wrote on Instagram.
Lead actress Reese Witherspoon will also reprise her role as Elle Woods.
According to an interview Witherspoon did back in December, the upcoming movie will have ideas involving fashion, feminism, animals, and many more.
“So much fun. So full of fashion. So full of awesome feminist ideas. It will be global. It will have animals. It will have returning cast members. We just need to film it first. But that’s my hope and dream for Legally Blonde 3. It will be the return of Jennifer Coolidge, which is the greatest,” she gushed.
Some details about the production have yet to be announced. But with all the disclosed information about the sequel, we can’t help but wonder if “Legally Blonde 3” is going to be inspired by the current events. Elle Woods spending her quarantine days glamorously would be a sight to see!
