Private school Angelicum School Iloilo (ASIL) has announced that it will suspend activities starting July 31, 2020.

In a memo signed by Rev. School Director Rev. Fr. Maximo P. Gatela, the Catholic school admits that they have experienced shortcomings due to the lack of preparation in the 4th quarter of the previous academic year.

“The experience of the 4th Grading Period was difficult for all of us. The sad part was that ASIL was not ready and failed miserably in delivering the services. As the situation of uncertainty continues, we cannot prolong the 4th grading experience throughout the whole school year nor keep you hanging in the air. Effective July 31, 2020, ASIL will cease operation,” Gatela wrote.

In addition, ASIL has offered 3 options:

1. Home Study Program
2. REAP (a home study program virtually for free)
3. Transfer your kids to other schools of your choice.

“Your transfer documents are ready for pick-up after you have been given clearance,” Gatela ended.
