Asia’s Superstar and Filipino actress Kathryn Bernardo is the second Filipina to win the Outstanding Asian Star award at the upcoming Seoul International Drama Awards 2023.

Star Cinema announced the spectacular news on Thursday, congratulating Kathryn for winning the category, which recognizes six stars from six Asian countries, including the Philippines.

Aside from Kathryn, her boyfriend, and Filipino actor Daniel Padilla, Filipino artists Barbie Forteza, Dennis Trillo, and Julie Ann San Jose were also nominated in the category.

The Seoul International Drama Awards 2023 is an annual global drama awards ceremony that will be held live on KBS 2TV on September 21.

Prior to winning the Outstanding Asian Star award, Kathryn was recognized by Forbes Asia and was included in its inaugural 100 Digital Stars list in 2020.

Belle Mariano was the first Filipino to win at the Seoul International Drama Awards when she was hailed Outstanding Asian Star in 2022.
