Engr. Raymond Omboy German, a 23-year-old graduate of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University, defied the odds despite facing financial challenges, and emerged as the top scorer in the April 2024 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination (REELE), achieving an outstanding passing rate of 95%.

Growing up in Sitio Catambisan, Barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Cebu, Engr. Geoman has always been driven by a strong passion for learning. During his studies, he excelled academically, completing his Junior High School education at Mantalongon National High School (MNHS) and graduating with Highest Honors from Dalaguete National High School (DNHS) in Senior High. His achievements have made him a standout among Dalaguete Municipal Scholars.

In a local radio interview, Geoman expressed his joy and gratitude, stating that his success means he can now support his parents, whose sacrifices for his education have now borne fruit. Raised by a construction worker’s father and a homemaker’s mother, Geoman’s journey to success was not without challenges.

Geoman admitted to feeling adequately prepared for the exam but was truly surprised to emerge as the Top 1, given the talent of his peers. The Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ronald Allan G. Cesante and the officials of the Municipal Government of Dalaguete congratulated him for his accomplishment.

This year, the Professional Regulation Commission reported that out of 7,006 candidates, a total of 4,436 passed the exams.
