The delivery of health services for Negrenses is getting a boost with the deployment of Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinic received by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson during the turnover led by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in Cebu City on Monday.

“This mobile clinic will not only provide essential medical care but will also be a crucial asset during medical missions, disasters, and casualties,” Lacson said in a statement on Tuesday.

The project, inspired by the First Lady’s “Lab for All” initiative, aims to bring free medical consultations, laboratory services, and distribution of medicines to communities.

In June, Bacolod City, led by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, also received a similar mobile clinic during the “Lab for All” caravan here.

It would further enhance the city’s health care capabilities, Benitez said.

Lacson said the Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinic, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, is a testament to the commitment of the government to bringing comprehensive health services to remote and underprivileged communities in the province.

He noted that the turnover of the project “marks a significant milestone in our collective mission to ensure that all Filipinos, regardless of their state in life and location, have access to quality primary health care.”

“The First Lady’s support, compassion, and dedication to the health and well-being of our fellow countrymen are deeply appreciated,” he added.

Department of Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, Undersecretary Mary Ann Maestral, and Western Visayas Regional Director Adriano Suba-an witnessed the ceremonial turnover of the project.

The event coincided with the opening salvo of Cebu’s 455th Founding Anniversary held at the Cebu Capitol grounds. (PNA)
