The construction of the PHP1.6-billion socialized housing project in Barangay San Pedro in this capital town of Antique is ready to kick off following a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday.

Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao, in her message, said the eight-tower socialized housing units, dubbed as Binirayan Village 4PH Towers, seek to address the housing concern of Antique provincial employees, other national government agencies and other qualified Pag-IBIG Fund members.

“We will be building housing units to the highest standard,” Cadiao said.

She tasked Antique Provincial Housing and Regulatory Office (PHARO) supervising home management specialist Eby Butiong to choose a developer to build standard housing units with amenities in Antique as part of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH), a flagship program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Butiong, in the project brief, said the housing units will have a swimming pool, a clubhouse, and a children’s park as part of the township concept.

“There will also be business establishments so that the residents can easily access their needs within the area,” Butiong said.

Application forms for the socialized housing units are now available at the PHARO in San Jose de Buenavista.

The socialized housing units could be availed through the housing loan program of the Pag-IBIG Fund.

The socialized housing units are set for turnover to qualified applicants in 2028. (PNA)
