“My Love Will Make You Disappear” stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino look back on their journey filming their first movie project together in Metro’s latest digital cover.

After their successful back-to-back series “Linlang” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” the pair takes their chemistry to the big screen with a romantic comedy film about a cursed love that comes and goes.

“May love ba talaga na nag-i-stay or lahat ng love nawawala? Gano’n ‘yung premise ng story,” Kim said in the exclusive Metro cover feature.

“The problems the movie tackles are very ‘now.’ When it comes to love, it’s very universal naman, but in a different situation and setting. I think one thing also na relevant sa ngayon is may underlying tones of mental health issues,” Paulo added.

The film will make its local premiere on March 26 (Wednesday) along with international screenings across Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia.

Paulo shared, “I’m always proud and happy when a Filipino film goes abroad because nagkakaroon tayo ng pagkakataon para mapanood tayo ng mga ibang lahi kung ano ba ‘yung sitwasyon or estado ng filmmaking natin dito sa Pilipinas. It’s always nice to give them different flavors.”

For the cover shoot, Kim experimented with bolder looks.

“I’ve done several Metro covers so we’re trying to mix and match and make me look different with bangs, layers and everything,” Kim said.
