The ABS-CBN Foundation, in partnership with Zarah Juan, launched the limited edition Aduyon Sling, the product of a dynamic collaboration for the benefit of the Weaving Arts and Crafts of Tublay (WACoT). All profit from the sale of this special collection will be ploughed back to WACoT.

WACoT is a duly registered organization with the Department of Labor and Employment of 25 women weavers.

Zarah Juan, a social and cultural enterprise that supports community-based social enterprises (CBSEs) all over the country, specially designed the Aduyon Sling using the products from the weavers of Tublay. This partnership between ABS-CBN Foundation and Zarah Juan opened the opportunity for WACoT to turn their beautiful and vibrant weaves into a world-class product.

The WACoT weavers chose the name “Aduyon,” an Ibaloi word for the Filipino bayanihan, or working together as a community to achieve a common goal or dream. The Aduyon Sling is the fruit of the weaving organization, local government unit, the Foundation, and Zarah Juan all working together to achieve a shared vision of impact and transformation. The seed fund for this project was given by Pride4PH through ABS-CBN Foundation International.

Part of the project is the facilitation of a community-based social enterprise training program for WACoT by the Integration and Area Development unit of ABS-CBN Foundation. The program touches on visioning and team building, as well as human resource management, operations, finance, and marketing and will provide all the basic skills so that they can scale their enterprise. This will not only facilitate knowledge transfer, capability building, but empowerment and support in an integrated approach to ensure sustainability to the partner community.

The Aduyon Sling, which retailed at P4,999.00 is sold out within an hour of its launch.
