ABS-CBN Global, a leading Filipino media and entertainment company committed to bringing the best of Filipino content and talent worldwide, played hosts recently to visiting UTA representatives at the ABS-CBN compound in Metro Manila.

The company entered into a consultancy partnership with UTA last February to take ABS-CBN’s internationalization efforts to the next level.

United Talent Agency (UTA) is a global talent agency that represents many of the world’s most iconic, barrier-breaking artists, creators and changemakers– from actors, athletes and musicians to writers, to gamers and digital influencers. Very recently, its clients received more than 200 EMMY nominations for this year.

UTA represented by Head of Asia Business Development Max Michael and music agent Janet Kim visited ABS-CBN offices in Manila this month to meet with the media company’s top executives, attend contract signings with artists, do a studio tour, meet with the business unit heads of music, films, talent and content, and have face-to-face meetings with Filipina actress-singer-host-model Maymay and P-Pop groups BINI and BGYO.

While ABS-CBN Global’s content, talent, film, music and live events are already present in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, and North and Latin America, the company wants to reach out to a mainstream audience that has become much more open to diverse and ethnic entertainment offerings.

One example for ABS-CBN Global is its recently held 1MX music festival in London which headlined top Filipino music acts with other Asian artists and emerging non-Asian artists.

The event drew thousands of attendees. Buoyed by the reception in London, ABS-CBN Global is bringing 1MX to Toronto in September and Sydney in October.

“ABS-CBN Global wants to reach larger audiences across the full breadth of practice areas in the entertainment industry. With UTA’s expertise and network, we hope to explore opportunities for our business verticals and have our offerings on the forefront of the media and entertainment industry where they can generate full impact on reach and engagement. We are excited to work with UTA to make this happen,” said ABS-CBN Global COO Aldrin M. Cerrado.
