The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday reported one new recovery from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among Filipinos abroad, bringing the overall tally of recovered cases to 8,461.

In its latest case bulletin, the DFA also reported four new cases of Covid-19 and one fatality among Filipinos in the Middle East and Africa.

These numbers bring the total number of Covid-19 cases among Filipinos abroad to 13,022 and the death toll to 935.

Meanwhile, about 3,626 Filipinos overseas are still undergoing treatment.

“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amidst the pandemic,” the DFA statement read. (PNA)
