DOH Reports 90% PH Recovery Rate With 361,784 Survivors

The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported 90 percent of those who tested positive for Covid-19 have recovered.

In its latest bulletin, the DOH said the country logged 182 new recoveries pushing the total number of recovered cases to 361,784.

It also reported 2,058 new confirmed cases and 108 new deaths.

These figures brought the overall tally of active cases to 29,018 and the death toll to 7,647.

Of the active cases, the DOH said about 82.7 percent are mild, 9.4 percent are asymptomatic, 2.8 percent are severe, and 5 percent are in critical condition.

Rizal topped the list of places which logged the most number of new cases with 103 infections. It is followed by Davao City with 81, Maguindanao with 81, Quezon City with 77, and Cavite with 76.

A DOH data on November 8 showed that 903 or 5.9 percent of 15,263 who were tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

The DOH also said it has 21,300-bed capacity dedicated to patients with Covid-19.

Available are 56 percent of 1,900 intensive care unit beds, 60 percent of 13,500 isolation beds, and 69 percent of 5,900 ward beds.

About 78 percent of 2,000 ventilators are available for Covid-19 patients’ use. (PNA)
