Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, a standout from BRENT International School Manila, concluded her participation in the 2024 Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC) Swimming Championships with a remarkable performance. In her final appearance at the annual swimfest held in Beijing, China, Mojdeh clinched one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, marking a grand farewell to her illustrious playing years in the competition.

Mojdeh dominated the competition in the 100-meter butterfly with an astonishing time of 1 minute and 3.33 seconds. This outstanding achievement left competitors Gabrielle Sung of China with a silver medal at 1:05.41 and Adison Chow of Hong Kong securing bronze at 1:06.02 in her wake.

Joan Mojdeh, the team manager of Behrouz Elite Swimming Team-Philippines, expressed pride in Mojdeh’s accomplishments and thanked the Brent Aqualions Swim Team for their unwavering support.

Aside from her gold in the 100-meter butterfly, Mojdeh added to her medal haul with a silver in the 50-meter butterfly (28.76) and a bronze in the 100-meter individual medley (1:07.16).

In the boys’ division, Zayden Ramos from International School Manila made a notable impact, securing two gold and two silver medals. Ramos’ victories included an impressive time of 57.58 seconds in the 100-meter butterfly and a gold in the 50-meter butterfly with a remarkable time of 25.53 seconds. Additionally, he earned silver medals in the 50m freestyle (24.45) and 100m freestyle (53.23) events.

The stellar performances of Mojdeh and Ramos underscore the talent and dedication of Filipino swimmers, further solidifying their reputation as formidable competitors in the international swimming arena.

The remarkable success of Mojdeh and Ramos at the APAC Swimming Championships not only reflects their individual brilliance but also highlights the prowess of young Filipino swimmers on the global stage.
