The provincial government of Pampanga is offering free drive-through antigen testing for residents experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Michael Ingal, head nurse at the Mexico Isolation Facility, said Friday the program is part of the provincial government’s disease detection and prevention efforts.

“Sa mga kababayan po nating Kapampangan, inaanyayahan ko po kayo na i-avail yung antigen free testing para malaman yung condition ninyo and at the same time, para maiwasan po natin na magkalat pa ng sakit, lalo na ngayon na tumaas pa ang kaso ng Covid-19. Kaya maganda na po yung prepared tayo (To our provincemates, I am inviting you to avail of our free antigen test to determine your condition and at the same time, to avoid the spread of the disease, especially now that there is a rise in Covid-19 cases. It is better for us to be prepared),” Ingal said in a local news report.

The drive-through antigen test at the Mexico isolation facility is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As of July 20, the province has logged 527 active Covid-19 cases.

Governor Dennis Pineda reminded his constituents to strictly comply with the minimum health standards.

“Always wear a face mask in public places and observe physical distancing to prevent transmission of the virus,” he said. (PNA)
