After a two-year hiatus, the annual Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City will reopen in March, according to Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez Jr.

The country’s most anticipated event, with millions of foreign and domestic visitors clamoring to the City of Pines every month of February and March celebrates the culture and heritage of the Cordilleras by featuring the many various types of flowers that rise in Benguet.

Here are the highlight activities of this year’s Panagbenga Flower Festival:

March 6 – Opening Ceremonies

March 6 to 27 – Panagbenga Open Landscaping Exhibition

March 13 – Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya Baguio (featuring Zumba session, painting exhibition, kite flying challenge, and a cultural show)

March 20 – Panagbenga Open Dance Competition

March 21 to 27 – Session Road in Bloom

March 27 – Closing Fireworks Display

Other events include the already-running Baguio Country Club Blooms Garden Exhibit of Korean and Japanese-themed landscapes; the reopening of the Baguio Botanical Garden along Leonard Wood Road last March 6; the city-wide 9th Stage Ronda Pilipinas from March 19 to 20; the 2nd Montanosa Film Festival at the Baguio Athletic Bowl from March 19 to 27; and the Flower Tee Golf at the Baguio Country Club from March 25 to 26.

Here are the travel requirements for both foreign and domestic travelers who want to attend this much-anticipated event in Baguio.

  1. Approved QR-coded Tourist Pass from Visita Baguio
  2. Any government-issued ID
  3. Vaccination certificate

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated minors aged 12-17 years old must present negative results of an antigen test conducted within 24 hours prior to entry or an RT-PCR test conducted within 72 hours for minors traveling with fully vaccinated companions. Travelers aged 11 and under are exempt from presenting test results.

Only fully vaccinated adults are currently permitted entry into Baguio City. Minors who have not been vaccinated or have only been partially vaccinated must travel with fully vaccinated companions.
