President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte received high approval and trust ratings in the latest survey conducted by the OCTA Research Group.

According to the Tugon ng Masa survey done from March 24 to 28, Marcos scored an 83 percent trust rating and an 80 percent approval rating.

Meanwhile, Duterte’s trust score was recorded at 87 percent, while her approval rating stood at 84 percent.

“The general public opinion regarding the performance and trustworthiness of the President and the Vice President remains essentially constant between the OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa nationwide surveys conducted last October 2022 and its latest survey in 2023,” the pollster said.

Only 6 percent disapproved of the work done by the President, while only 4 percent distrust him.

The Vice President’s performance, on the other hand, was disapproved by 4 percent, while only 3 percent distrust her.

Marcos and Duterte got majority approval from across social classes and locations, but the most notable increase in satisfaction towards the President and Vice President’s performance lies in Class ABC (increasing by 17 points to 84 percent for Marcos, and by 12 points to 87 percent for Duterte).

In terms of trust rating among the socio-economic classes and major geographical areas, the President and Vice President’s overall figures show that most adult Filipinos highly trust them, the survey noted.

The President’s highest trust rating is in the Visayas at 91 percent, while the Vice President’s highest trust rating is in Mindanao at 96 percent.

For both Marcos and Duterte, Metro Manila is the area with their lowest trust rating with a score of 76 percent and 78 percent, respectively.

Marcos thanked the public for their support, vowing to deliver better government services for the people.

“Karangalan ng administrasyong Marcos-Duterte na kayo’y paglingkuran sa abot ng aming makakaya, kaya naman labis ang aming pasasalamat sa inyong patuloy na suporta (It is an honor for the Marcos-Duterte administration to serve you to the best of our ability, which is why we are so grateful for your continued support),” Marcos said in his Facebook post.
