The Philippines has vaccinated 73,582,128 or 94.21 percent of its target population as of Sunday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Monday.

In its latest Covid-19 case bulletin, the DOH noted 40,781 more individuals were fully vaccinated on Oct. 31 to Nov. 6.

For the same period, about 70,629 individuals received their additional dose bringing the overall tally of the boosted population to 20,651,203.

Since the Covid-19 jab rollout started, the government aims to fully vaccinate 78,100,578 Filipinos.

The DOH also reported that the daily average of Covid-19 cases has decreased to 907.

In the previous weeks, the daily infections average between 1,000 to 2,000 cases.

From Oct. 24 to 30, there were 6,346 new cases and 243 verified deaths.

The DOH recorded 28 new deaths from Oct. 24 to Nov. 6.

In the same period, two cases were added to the tally of severe and critical infections which went down to 640.

Only 20.6 percent or 503 out of the 2,427 intensive care unit (ICU) beds are in use, while 24.3 percent or 5,145 of 21,181 non-ICU beds are utilized. (PNA)
