TrashCash app is developed by Filipino software developer Benjoe Vidal to give people a new way of interest to recycle plastics using his newly-invented application.

“When the value of plastic is revealed, it becomes too valuable to leak in the ocean,” TrashCash PH wrote.

According to the locally made application, every year, Filipinos are producing over 2 billion kilograms of plastics with every kilo roughly worth of P12. The country is basically wasting around P24 billion, as from the app’s data.

Powered by the app’s unique AI, the app simply scans trash using its camera and will display the value of every trash with its category. It’s not only making the most with every trash, but the app also helps and promotes waste segregation as it can distinguish different kinds of plastics.

“Waste segregation should begin at home to ensure easier recycling,” TrashCash PH added.

With the goal of helping the community to earn extra, as well as the environment, TrashCash PH also provides an automated, traceable, and trackable waste management system that shows the real-time state of the recycling industry.

Every app user has numerous options of what they can do with their accumulated points in the app:

1. Exchanged points into items or products.
2. Save the points to a digital wallet.
3. Redeem items and rewards from the partner brands.

TrashCash PH aims to orient, educate and incentivize Filipinos to the value and impact of their trash. The application is available for IOS and Android.
