Two Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System students received the silver medal in the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad, announced in a congratulatory post, Tuesday, August 3.

PSHS congratulated Ron Angelo A. Gelacio of the PSHS-Main Campus and Nathan Wayne F. Ariston of the PSHS-Central Mindanao Campus for their success in winning the silver medal at a virtual competition hosted by Japan from July 25 to August 2.

Alongside Gelacio and Ariston, PSHS System also recognizes the efforts of Kristoff John F. Padilla of PSHS-Central Mindanao Campus for representing the country in the said event.

Aames Juriel Morales of the De La Salle University- Integrated School also won the bronze medal this year.

Ariston and Gelacio were also awarded bronze medals in the same competition held in Istanbul, Turkey in the last year.

Separately, Ariston was once offered admissions with a full scholarship grant to Ivy League Yale University (USA), Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), University of California (USA), and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
