Veteran Korean drama actor So Ji Sub is back on Philippine TV and this time, he is packing quite the punch with the debut of “Codename: Terrius” last Monday (September 30) to cap off Kapamilya Primetime.

The action-drama series, where Ji Sub plays Kim Bon, a legendary black ops agent operative of the National Intelligence Service codenamed Agent Terrius, tallied 9.9% in its pilot ratings according to Kantar Media, beating its competition “Mr Sunshine,” which only got 5.8%.

As Kim Bon, Ji Sub is tasked to protect his next-door neighbor, Irene Go, played by Jung In-Sun, as well as her children when she got caught up in a conspiracy which involved her husband, leading to his death. To counter the threat, Kim Bon will pose as a nanny and help Irene with their day to day lives, falling slowly in love with her as he tries to keep her and her little family safe from any grim event.

This is So Ji Sub’s comeback series in the country’s first and true home of Asianovelas as he starred in “Memories of Bali” which aired back in 2005.

“Codename: Terrius” was wildly popular in South Korea thanks to So Ji Sub and Jung In-Sun’s performance. The new action-drama replaced a serious heart-tugger in “Encounter,” which was bannered by Park Bo Gum Song Hye-kyo in the Kapamilya Primetime block.

Aside from “Codename: Terrius,” two more Koreanovelas – “100 Days My Prince” and “I Have a Lover” – are coming later this October to viewers of the first & true home of Asianovelas, ABS-CBN.
