Enhancing the knowledge of its employees in times of emergency, the leading public relations company in the Philippines, PAGEONE, conducted the “Don’t Panic: Basic Life Support with the Red Cross” seminar and training.

On September 4, PAGEONE collaborated with the Philippine Red Cross to sustain its employees’ basic comprehension of how to provide first aid support not just within the company but also to their families, loved ones, and those in need.

During the one-day seminar and training, the Philippine Red Cross highlighted two main modules: basic life support and topics related to cardiac emergencies.

According to the Red Cross, it is important for Filipinos to know such information about basic life support to provide immediate action in case of emergencies and give ample time before hospital rescuers help the victims.

“Importante malaman natin kung paano mag-provide ng basic life support dahil nakakatulong ito para mapahaba pa ang buhay ng victim before siya madala sa ospital for emergencies,” member of the Philippine Red Cross Marjorie Casillano said.

Besides having a seminar, the Red Cross also had a personal demo with PAGEONE employees for them to apply their learnings from the modules stated, namely cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the placement of bandages.

PAGEONE President Vonj Tingson highlighted the essence of this session for its company, noting the possible cases of emergencies in the workplace and even in the comfort of their homes, helping their family members or relatives.

“Most of us are still working from home, so we cannot monitor all of the employees. With this seminar, we are more confident that you will now know how to conduct first aid when there will be emergencies,” Vonj Tingson said.

PAGEONE Socials was introduced last February with the goal of bringing its employees closer together not only with fun activities but also by engaging in seminars to develop their understanding not only in the field of public relations but also of basic health and life topics.
