Viewers are in for a roller coaster ride as the story of Liam and Joyce concludes in the exciting finale of the romantic drama series “The Write One” this May 25 – with days leading to the end packed with suspense, drama, action, and a series of scenes shot in the city of love itself – Paris.

“The Write One” is the first-ever project together of Kapuso homegrown artists and Sparkle stars Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali who brought life to the characters of Liam and Joyce/Savanna.

Fellow Sparkle artists Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas made the story even more interesting as they portrayed Via and Hans, respectively.

A Parisian Dream Come True

On its finale week, the magical typewriter will once again play a significant role in the lives of the characters.

With timelines being revised not just by Liam, but by Via and Joyce as well, what happens to Liam and Joyce? Will they be able to rekindle their love and be ‘the right one’ for each other?

The series sees Liam and Joyce meeting in Paris – known as one of the most romantic places in the world.

In the City of Love, can these two souls rekindle what they lost all these years or will Paris be the witness to the bittersweet ending of their love story?

The Write One is the first-ever drama produced by GMA Public Affairs with scenes shot outside the Philippines.

Fans should watch out for Liam and Joyce in various Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower.

The RuCa couple admits it was their dream to go to Paris.

“Pangarap naman talaga namin makapunta dun at nasuwertehan lang namin na magkasama kami,” Ruru said.

The two Kapuso stars also gave tourists and locals a glimpse of how talented Filipino actors are during their taping – with some passers by stopping on their feet to watch them and praising them for their acting skills.

One particular heavy scene got rave reviews from the onlookers.

“After nung eksena, pumalakpak silang lahat. Sobrang nakakatuwa na sinabi nilang kahit hindi nila naiintindihan ‘yung mga sinasabi namin pero naramdaman daw nila ‘yung eksena,” shared Ruru.

Grateful

Ruru and Bianca, who are equally excited yet saddened that the series is about to end, cannot thank their supporters enough for the success of ‘The Write One.’

Ruru shares: “I will always be grateful to GMA Network, especially to GMA Public Affairs, and to Viu Philippines for giving me this chance to be part of ‘The Write One.’ In portraying Liam, I have grown further as an actor and as a person. I would also like to thank my co-actors who made each day memorable. To all the viewers who rooted for Liam as he explored the alternate timeline and returned to the real timeline – thank you. The success of this series is because of you.”

“It’s no secret that ‘The Write One’ is a very special project for me. Giving life to Joyce and Savanna was very challenging since they are almost totally different persons. This series taught me a lot about myself and about life,” said Bianca. “While this is the very first time I get to share the screen with Ruru as his love interest, I enjoyed every part of this show because I was also with Mikee and Paul and all these great actors and the production team who helped build the story from day one,” she added.

Mikee and Paul are also grateful that they have become part of ‘The Write One.’

“I really enjoyed playing Via because her character had many layers. Thank you to everyone who supported our show. We hope you stay with us until the very end because there are a lot of twists that will leave you at the edge of your seats,” said Mikee.

“As Hans in the series, I got to discover more about my acting skills,” says Paul. “Thank you for loving Hans and for making ‘The Write One’ part of your viewing habit. We look forward to sharing with you the finale of this series.”

‘The Write One’ follows the story of Liam, a frustrated writer given a chance to rewrite his love and life story with the help of a mysterious typewriter.

He thought he could correct his mistakes in his love story with Joyce, yet his actions only made things complicated.

From its pilot airing last March, The Write One has been getting praises for its engaging story, splendid cinematography, the swoon-worthy music and original soundtrack, as well as the hugot lines from each episode.

Above all, viewers have been raving about the superb acting of the entire cast, which also includes veteran actors Lotlot De Leon, Ramon Christopher, Mon Confiado, Alma Concepcion, and Art Acuna.

Sparkle stars Kokoy De Santos, Royce Cabrera, Kaloy Tingcungco, Analyn Barro, Yvette Sanchez, and Euwenn Mikaell Aleta likewise shone bright in their own characters in the story.

This was the first collaboration between Philippine broadcast giant GMA Network and leading pan-regional over-the-top (OTT) video streaming service Viu, “The Write One” is directed by King Marc Baco with original concept by Executive Producer Mark Anthony Norella.
