Instant noodles are a beloved staple around the globe, known for their convenience, affordability, and comforting taste. Whether you’re a busy student, a working professional, or simply craving a quick meal, these versatile noodles can be a lifesaver. But why stop at the basic seasoning packet? With a few creative additions, you can elevate your instant noodle experience from ordinary to extraordinary.

Eggxactly the Best

Spicing up your homemade noodle is not a complete experience without an egg. If you are looking to level up your meal, a piece of raw egg completes the experience. This is the most basic ingredient you can add to your instant noodles.

Depending on your preference, you can either boil the egg prior, fry it, or add it to the boiling mixture. But a hack is, its best to top the dried noodles with fried runny eggs and the ramyeon one with a boiled or raw egg mixture.

If on a budget, adding this ingredient to your instant noodle makes it a sumptuous meal already. Considering its nutrient contribution to the body, it balances the meal and could make you feel less guilty to consume it.

Herbs, Spice, and Everything Nice

If you are a fan of authentic ramen or noodles, you would not want to miss on adding the holy trinity of instant noodle recipes: onion, leeks, garlic, salt/paper. These three will help you find the perfect balance of taste based on your preference.

The best amongst the three though is the onion leeks. You can never go wrong with the flavor it contributes to the flavor. But if you are a fan of garlic, then you should not miss combining these two. Their individual flavors complement each other very well. Just mince the garlic cloves and chop the onion leeks into little pieces, then add it to the noodle once the seasoning has been added.

While the instant noodle itself has its own spice, the purpose of leveling up the recipe is to add the actual raw ingredient to it.

Ball of Fame

To all the street food fans out there, have you tried topping off your favorite instant noodle with it? One of the most famous ramen flavors is seafood, and most of these street balls are fish flavors: fishballs, squidballs, crabsticks, and kikiam. All of these are good substitutes for the actual seafood.

If you have tried the shabu-shabu, this gives off the same experience, except the part where processed food meets the instant noodles, which are both unhealthy. Consider this a must-try on your cheat days.

To complete the experience, it would be best to slice the balls into small pieces and add them to the boiling mixture first before putting the noodles in because this should be properly cooked. Another option if you are not on a tight budget is this slice of pork or beef, whether boiled or steamed, which works perfectly fine with the noodles too.

To conclude, despite this being a budget go-to meal, one must always keep in mind the health risks of eating instant or processed food. Remember to eat moderately.
