Who would’ve thought that one can turn a hot sauce into a fiery spaceship— a spiceship perhaps? A shampoo bottle into a cosmic tanker and a tongs spaceship? That for sure will come in handy.

Eric Geusz likes to call himself “a software engineer by day, and artist by night,” and broke his quarantine boredom to the next level. For Eric, everything you see is out of this world, literally.

Eric gains inspiration from different household items and turns them into one-of-a-kind art.

“I have been drawing and making spaceships out of Legos since I saw Star Wars in 1997,” Eric told Bored Panda.

His works are inspired by artists like Moebius, Ralph Mcquarrie (whose works include the Star Wars trilogy and ET), Chris Foss, Syd Mead, and enjoyed playing Homeworld, Mass Effect, and Halo as a kid.

“Trying to come up with an original yet familiar design is definitely the hardest part,” Eric shared.

“There are so many good designs out there to pull inspiration from but I also try to find something unique. I make many sketches, sometimes starting completely over before I settle on something good,” he further shared.

This is definitely not a budget-friendly one. Car ship, anyone?

“Spaceships are like dragons,” he said. “You are free to make them look however you want but how they make you feel is the most important.”

This time a peeler to a modern airplane cargo from a vegetable peeler to a can opener. Eric as an artist is definitely an inspiration for every creative.

With Eric’s works, it definitely is worth letting out that inner child of yours. Drawing and letting out creativity is a perfect way of channeling your inner artist. Who knew? Maybe that water bottle beside you can switch that imaginary light bulb on?
