The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported one new recovery from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among Filipinos abroad, bringing the overall tally of recovered cases to 8,127.

In its latest case bulletin, the DFA also reported four new cases of Covid-19 and three fatalities among Filipinos in the Americas.

These numbers bring the total number of Covid-19 cases among Filipinos abroad to 12,627 and the death toll to 866.

Meanwhile, about 3,634 Filipinos overseas are still undergoing treatment.

“The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare,” the DFA statement read. (PNA)
