The 311 newly recovered cases reported Wednesday pushed the total number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries to 362,217.

In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) also reported 1,672 newly confirmed infections, bringing the nationwide tally of active cases to 31,489.

About 83.3 percent of the active cases are mild, 9.4 percent are asymptomatic, 2.5 percent are severe, and 4.6 percent are in critical condition.

Cavite topped the list of areas with new confirmed cases with 100 infections. It is followed by Davao City with 99, Quezon City with 81, Batangas with 78, and Baguio City with 70 infections.

The DOH also logged 49 new deaths, which brought the death toll to 7,710.

“Five duplicates were removed from the total case count, and of these, three were recovered cases. Moreover, 10 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths,” it said.

A DOH data on November 10 showed that 1,168 or 5.8 percent of 20,047 who were tested turned out positive.

As of Wednesday, the DOH has 21,300 total bed capacity. Still available are about 54 percent of 1,900 intensive care unit beds, 59 percent of 13,500 isolation beds, and 69 percent of 5,900 ward beds.

Moreover, some 77 percent of 2,000 ventilators are available for use. (PNA)
