More police officers have recovered from the coronavirus, with 45 patients adding to the total number of recoveries at 7,338 as of Wednesday night, the Philippine National Police reported.

Data released by the PNP Health Service show that the number of active cases is 395, including 24 new infections.

Of the new cases, the Police Regional Offices 1 (Ilocos Region) has 12, followed by National Capital Region Office (NCRPO), National Operational Support Units, PRO-4A (Calabarzon), PRO Cordillera with two each; and one each in the national headquarters, PRO-3 (Central Luzon), PRO-7 (Central Visayas) and PRO-11 (Davao Region).

Meanwhile, one police officer died of the disease, raising the death toll to 25.

The latest fatality is a 42-year-old male police officer from the PRO 12 (Soccsksargen). (PNA)
