Pastor Quiboloy’s 75,000-seating arena, King Dome, is soon to be the world’s biggest indoor arena.
Kingdom of Jesus Christ’s (KJC) executive pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, shared the recent update of the building, Thursday, July 16.
In his post, Pastor Quiboloy shared the multibillion megastructure, as it nears its completion.
With an initial cost of PHP 6 billion, now PHP 13 billion the arena greets a dome-shaped structure with a double-curved glass curtain wall and cellular aluminum panels.
After almost 10 years, the construction is soon to welcome the KJC congregation and guests at Barangay Catitipin, Davao City, a location adjacent to the city airport.
The building is in the 18-hectare KJC compound, a community that houses various amenities and facilities.
Furthermore, it is part of the 26-hectare Kingdom Global City Tourism Enterprise Zone (TEZ) designated by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) last July 26, 2018.
With a 4–5-hectare foot area, the arena will not just be a place of worship but also a venue for sports and big gatherings, Pastor Quiboloy shared with Edge Davao.
Quiboloy disclosed that the arena will have “38 escalators, centralized air conditioning system cube scoreboard, and professional lighting.”
The leader of the congregation proudly shares that the building will feature “state-of-the-art video equipment and up-to-date sound and projection systems which can contain about 6,000 voice choir and a 250-piece orchestra.”
King Dome ranks first, topping the National Stadium in Singapore with 55,000-seating, and Japan’s Tokyo Dome and the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
The KJS congregation was founded in 1985, reporting to have millions of members in the Philippines and abroad.
