Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez launched here on Tuesday an online complaints desk for power-related concerns, after setting up similar services to receive feedback on water and garbage issues.
Dubbed the “Citizen Kuryente Watch”, the service provides a quick response (QR) code and link that will lead the user to a Google form, where he or she will answer questions and write down complaints addressed to the Central Negros Electric Cooperative.
“Report your electricity-related problems to the mayor. We want to know your problem and we will try to find a solution,” Benitez said in the local dialect on his official Facebook page.
Earlier this month, the mayor also opened online platforms for complaints related to water supply, the “Citizen Water Watch”, and garbage collection, the “Citizen Basura Watch”.
Through the QR codes, an initial 212 residents have reported water-related concerns while 28 raised trash collection issues.
Benitez said it would be easier to address residents’ concerns if they would report the problems.
The complaints are forwarded to concerned offices so they can respond and act accordingly, he added.
Benitez said his office forwarded the complaints sent through the Citizen Water Watch to Bacolod City Water District general manager Mona Dia Jardin last week.
“By (this) week, they will provide a status report regarding the complaints,” he said. (PNA)
