KinKo started out with a question: “If pets are so cool (and they are!), then why aren’t there more interesting content of them?” Think of it. If you’re a watch lover there’s Hodinkee, Bon Appetit for foodies, Into the Gloss for all your beauty needs…what about our pals?

The secret lives of pets are one of the biggest mysteries of our world. They’re not only an expression of who we are; they’re living narratives. Each carries with them a story of the humans that surround them – and that’s worth talking about.

At its core, KinKo explores the relationships of pets and their people, opens dialogues with the community, and provides a platform for animal lovers to tune into. From their ‘Spotted’ series on Instagram – where they tell the stories of pets they encounter during their travels – to full-feature articles spotlighting local business owners and unique individuals, they pay homage to the local culture, sharing their experiences to a wider audience.

Community is central to KinKo’s identity. More than just a narrative, they collaborate with local brands and creatives to design special pieces for pets and their humans. All their products – from shampoo bars to timber cat litter – are 100% locally crafted and sourced.

Pet ownership is a lifestyle. It’s not just something we do; it’s something we live. Their philosophy is simple: to bring us closer to each other. Whether it’s through works of art or unique couple pieces for you and your pets, KinKo is there to enhance the life we share with our companions.

And why KinKo? It came about because pets and their family were inseparable – they are family. In that sense, they’re kin. As cheesy as it sounds, ‘Ko’ is derived from the Filipino word ‘ko’, approximately meaning ‘my’/’mine’. And thus, KinKo was born!
