A Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) store has officially opened at the regional headquarters of the Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) in Iloilo City, through a partnership with the Department of Agriculture in Western Visayas (DA-6).

The store was launched on Monday to provide affordable agricultural products while supporting local farmers and fisherfolk.

It featured nine local groups from Iloilo and Guimaras, including the Leon Bagsakan Center, Dumangas-Barotac Mushroom Growers and Guimaras Herbal Growers Association.

Participating groups generated PHP135,605 in total sales.

DA-6 Kadiwa focal person Lea Veloso said the collaboration between the Philippine National Police and DA-6 is part of a nationwide initiative to implement the KNP program in both national and regional police offices.

He said discussions are ongoing regarding the frequency of the KNP store operations and the possibility of expanding the initiative to provincial police headquarters after the Holy Week. (PNA)
