The city government unveiled Monday a PHP20-million state-of-the-art Mobile Command Center (MCC) to boost its security capability.

The MCC is a customized van that will be used for rapid surveillance deployment in the city.

Mayor John Dalipe said the MCC will expand the capability of the existing Command Center of the city government.

“It can be deployed anywhere. It will enhance response capability during events and incidents,” Dalipe said.

The customized van is equipped with a video wall, radio communications base, wireless network base, generator set, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) server.

It also composes of four solar-powered pneumatic pole masts with wires radio, Wi-Fi access points, a solar system with battery, and a multi-directional camera.

Dalipe said the implementation of the project makes this city one of the first local government units that have state-of-the-art MCC. (PNA)
