The Department of Health (DOH) also reported 1,298 newly confirmed cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 25,725.

Of the active cases, about 84 percent are mild, 7.4 percent are asymptomatic, 2.9 percent are severe, .30 percent are moderate and 5.4 percent are in critical condition.

The majority of the newly announced cases are from Ilocos Norte with 84, Manila with 61, Quezon City with 55, Laguna with 50, and Negros Occidental with 47 infections.

According to the DOH’s Nov. 30 data, about 1,004 or 5.7 percent out of the 17,699 tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

The DOH, meanwhile, reported 27 new deaths, bringing the death toll to 8,418.

“Three duplicates were removed from the total case count, and of these, two were recovered cases. Moreover, nine cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths, and one case that was previously reported as death but has been validated as active case,” the DOH said.
