At least 30 more police officers have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) to bring the total recoveries in the police force to 7,773 as of Wednesday night, based on the latest data from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Health Service.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the PNP is 412, with 22 new infections. This raised the total number of Covid-19 cases in the police force to 8,212.

Of the new cases, the Police Regional Office (PRO) Cordillera has 11, followed by PRO 10 (Northern Mindanao) with three, two each in PRO 4A (Calabarzon) and PRO Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and one each in National Headquarters, National Operational Support Unit, PRO 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), PRO 4-B (MIMAROPA), and PRO 2 (Cagayan Valley).

Meanwhile, the PNP’s Covid-19 death toll has risen to 27.

The latest fatality is a 52-year-old female non-uniformed personnel from the National Capital Region Police Office. (PNA)
